The Mental Health IOP at Centennial Peaks

Intensive Outpatient Mental Health Treatment

The Mental Health IOP Program provides skill-building experiences for managing psychiatric symptoms, coping with stress, and recovering from loss.

The Mental Health IOP Program offers a resource for persons with mental health issues to:
  • Develop new coping skills or regain lost ones
  • Learn to manage mood swings, panic, depression, and other mental health symptoms
  • Nurture a sense of safety and trust in others by engaging in exercises in a group setting

The Mental Health IOP Program can serve as:

  • An alternative to crisis hospitalization
  • A transition from inpatient to outpatient treatment
  • An adjunct to ongoing individual therapy in the community

The program includes:

  • Group therapy to discuss treatment goals, share experiences and build trust, appropriate boundaries, and interpersonal skills
  • Experiential therapies using activities to develop awareness of self and others
  • Educational groups designed to provide information on coping skills and techniques for dealing with symptoms
  • Multidisciplinary evaluation of complex treatment issues
  • Referrals to appropriate social support networks

Program sessions are at Centennial Peaks on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 1pm to 4pm.  Participants may enroll at any time.

For intake evaluation, call Ann Matino, MSW, Clinical Director, at (303) 666-2009.
