Filial Family Therapy Group – Lost and Found Inc.
This group will teach parents to conduct child-centered play sessions at home with their own children. Parents will learn to structure a play session, to help their children verbalize emotional conflicts by observing and reflecting what they see in play, and to set limits on inappropriate behavior using a simple, non-punitive procedure. Parents and children begin to develop mastery of the skills and behaviors of the play sessions and can then transfer these skills to settings outside the play. This group is for parents of children who are in therapy at Family Counseling Center, with their therapist’s permission.

Jefferson Alliance for the Mentally Ill (JAMI)
JAMI is a support, education, and advocacy organization serving families of persons with mental illness in Jefferson County and surrounding areas. JAMI is affiliated with the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) and NAMI-Colorado.
Two meetings are held every month - a support group meeting (third Wednesday of the month) and an education night meeting (first Wednesday of the month). Meetings are held at Lakewood Christian Church Kipling and 20th.
