Levels of Care
Acute Inpatient:
This program treats 18+ year-old individuals in an intensive, therapeutic
structure, providing psychiatric stabilization and 24-hour nursing care for
patients experiencing critical symptoms. Critical symptoms include suicidal
ideation, homicidal ideation and/or psychotic features. Another critical symptom
is being considered “gravely disabled,” which means an individual is unable to
care for themselves, putting their life or others in danger.
This program will also treat individuals age 65 and older if they are able to
manage their activities of daily living (ADLs), are medically stable and can
benefit from groups and therapy offered at Centennial Peaks Hospital.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP):
The PHP provides the structured programming of our mental health inpatient
program while allowing the patient to return home in the evening. Most often,
this is a step-down program for clients who have completed inpatient treatment
at Centennial Peaks.
Inpatient Detoxification:
This program is designed to provide a safe medical detox and to assist in
creating a solid addiction recovery plan. Twenty-four hour nursing care and
medication management is provided.
Chemical Dependency – Intensive Outpatient Program (CD IOP):
Patients in the CD-IOP program gain knowledge about addiction and recovery from
a physical, psychological, and habitual perspective. In addition, staff members
are trained in mental health issues, to assist those patients with co-occurring
diagnosis (i.e., depression). The CD-IOP meets three times per week, for a total
of 20 sessions. There are two tracks to choose from. The DAY programs meets
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 1:00pm - 4:00pm for 20 sessions and the EVENING program meets
Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6:00pm-9:00pm for 20 sessions. Aftercare is provided once per
week for one year after members complete the program.
Mental Health - Intensive Outpatient Program (MH
IOP):
The MH-IOP is focused on the development of interpersonal skills, coping skills,
relaxation skills, management of symptoms and mood stabilization. The program
combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other skills-based treatment
methods with the goal of increasing mental health functioning and the ability to
enjoy life. There are two track options for the MH-IOP. The DAY track is Monday,
Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:00pm-4:00pm for 12 sessions. The EVENING track is
Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 6:00pm to 9:00pm for 12 sessions.
